Adjust distance from pedal pad to floor panel to 7.24-7.64 inch on 1982-84 Tercel, 6.97-7.36 inch on 1985 Tercel, 7.13-7.44 inch on 1986 Tercel,
6.93-7.24 inch on 1987-88 Tercel Wagon and 6.87-7.26 inch on Starlet models, by rotating the pedal pad stopper bolt, Fig. 1.
Clutch Pedal Freeplay

Operate clutch pedal several times, then depress clutch pedal until resistance is felt. Freeplay should be .08-1.10 inch on 1982-85 and 1987-88
models or .08-.98 inch on 1986 models.
