Indra Soundar Rajan (Tamil: இந்திரா சௌந்தர்ராஜன், born 13 November 1958) is the pen name of P. Soundar Rajan, a well-known Tamil author of short stories, novels, television serials, and screenplays.^[1][2] He lives in Madurai.^[3]

He is something of an expert on South Indian Hindu traditions and mythological lore. He was employed in TVS Group of Companies before becoming a full-time writer. His stories typically deal with cases of supernatural occurrence, divine intervention, reincarnation, ghosts, and are often based on or inspired by true stories reported from various locales around the state of Tamil Nadu.^[4]

Two or three of his novels are published every month in publications such as Crime Story and Today Crime News. He has done more than 300 episodes in Podhigai TV program named'Kanchiyin Karunai', which tells the greatness of Shri Chandrasekhara Saraswathi Swamigal, the pontiff of Kanchipuram Shankara mutt.

Maragatha Veenai is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language soap opera that aired on Sun TV. The show ran from 27 January 2014 to 28 September 2017 and aired Monday through Saturday for 1102 episodes.^[1][2][3] The show starred Santhoshi, Kumar, Sangeetha, Raja, Manokaran, Deepa and among others. This show was produced by Cine Time Entertainment and directed by L.Muthukumaraswamy, P.Selvam, O.N Rathnam and Vasubharthi Shivashankaran for 1102episodes. It also airs in Sri LankaTamil Channel on Shakthi TV.

Synopsis[edit]

The main story of Maragatha Veenai serial lies on two protagonists, namely Divya and Shankar. The serial captures their relationship and how the duo faces challenges to come up in life. Neema is a woman who decides to start her life anew and live a happy life. However, she faces many challenges, hurdles and problems that compel her to hide her identity from the world and go on with her life.

Divya, a young girl, faces several problems when she tries to fight for independence from the life that was forced upon her.
